Returns & Warranty

This page explains how returns, refunds, and warranty support are handled for orders placed with 88 TECH. Different rules apply depending on whether you are buying as a consumer or for business use.

Consumer orders

14-day cancellation rights may apply to online consumer purchases.

Business orders

B2B returns are accepted only where agreed in writing or where goods are faulty.

Warranty support

Eligible products are covered against faults arising under normal use.

1. Consumer Orders (Online Sales)

If you are purchasing as a consumer, meaning you are acting outside your trade, business, or profession, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving a reason.

  • You must tell us within 14 days of delivery if you wish to cancel.
  • You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
  • You may inspect the goods as you would in a shop, but not use them beyond that level of handling.

If returned goods show handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and function, we may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value.

2. Business Orders (B2B)

If you are purchasing wholly or mainly for business purposes, statutory consumer cancellation rights do not apply.

  • Returns are not accepted unless agreed in writing in advance.
  • Approved returns may be subject to restocking or handling charges.
  • Items must usually be unused and in resalable condition unless faulty or supplied incorrectly.

We reserve the right to refuse returns for business orders unless the goods are faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described.

3. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

If you receive goods that are faulty, damaged, or not as ordered, please contact us as soon as possible with your order reference and a description of the issue. Photos should be included where available.

Consumer statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and any applicable contractual or legal rights for business buyers, remain unaffected.

4. Return Conditions & Exclusions

The following items may not be eligible for return unless faulty:

  • Software, licence keys, and other digital goods once supplied, accessed, or activated.
  • Custom-configured, built-to-order, or special-order items.
  • Sealed goods that are unsuitable for return once opened.
  • Clearance, end-of-line, or non-returnable lines clearly marked as such.

5. Return Process

All returns must be authorised before goods are sent back. Returns sent without approval may be refused or delayed.

Package the goods securely with all accessories and documentation.

6. Return Costs

  • For consumer change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
  • For faulty or incorrectly supplied items, we will advise on the appropriate return arrangements.
  • Original delivery charges are not usually refundable unless required by law.

7. Refunds

Refunds are processed after returned items have been received and inspected.

  • Refunds are made to the original payment method where possible.
  • We may wait until the goods are returned, or until proof of return is provided, before issuing a refund.
  • Deductions may apply if goods have lost value due to excessive handling.

8. Warranty

Many products sold by 88 TECH include warranty cover. Warranty terms may vary depending on whether the item is new, refurbished, clearance stock, or specialist supply.

  • Warranty applies to faults arising under normal use and proper installation.
  • Warranty does not cover misuse, accidental damage, external damage, or unauthorised modification.
  • Full warranty details can be confirmed on request before purchase.

9. Important Notes

  • Compatibility is the buyer’s responsibility unless expressly confirmed by us in writing.
  • Business buyers should verify specifications, versions, and requirements before ordering.
  • We strongly recommend using tracked and insured return services where you arrange shipment yourself.
